Traditional dispensers are slow, inefficient, and uncomfortable, leaving users with sore backs, burned hands, and unsafe pallets.

Our mission is to make pallet wrapping easier and safer. We did that by combining firsthand experience with some old fashioned American ingenuity to create a product that’s easy to use and prevents wrapping-related injuries.

At Nelson Wrap Dispensers Inc., we make the safest and easiest handheld dispensers you will ever use. We have accomplished this by recognizing potentially harmful practices and ergonomic hazards in the workplace and designing wrap dispensers to reduce these problems.

While we are committed to worker safety, we are also committed to using products that are made in the USA. Currently, 90% of all components are produced within our own state while the remainder is manufactured in Ohio and California.

Why Choose NWD?

The Nelson Wrap Dispenser has been designed with the operator’s back in mind. It is not uncommon to find shipping department employees bending over in awkward positions, or walking backwards around a skid in an attempt to properly wrap a load while using traditional hand-held dispensers. These practices are obviously unsafe. In contrast, the Nelson Wrap Dispenser is designed with a safety first approach. By removing the need to bend down to wrap low loads, or reach up to wrap high loads, the Nelson Wrap Dispenser becomes a remarkable back saver. It allows the operator to wrap a skid in a natural, forward motion. The Nelson Wrap Dispenser is changing the market and bringing to it greatly improved ergonomics. The linear construction, combined with self oiling materials and consistent action, allows for a load to be quickly and easily double-wrapped. An operator-adjusted tension control, paired with a hand brake, assure you the tightest wrap needed for your particular application. The Nelson Wrap Dispenser—the dispenser you’re guaranteed to lean on!

Years ago owner, Nelson Phero, worked in a warehouse where he wrapped many skids every day. After some time, he began to wonder if there was a better way. This backbreaking work of pallet wrapping was wearing on his body. But as he searched, he found no solutions. That’s when he got to work, creating an affordable product that would take the pain out of his job.

Nelson’s first dispenser was made from a broken squeegee and a pipe clamp. As he used it, other workers and product truck drivers would say, “Hey, we need something like that.”

After a while, Nelson went back to the drawing board to create a less rudimentary tool. After coming up with a prototype, a trucking company asked if their warehouse workers could test it out.

From there, Nelson’s mission to create a company that would make warehouse work easier and safer was born.

To this day, Nelson Wrap Dispenser is a family-owned and operated business.
